NOTES:
Another song recorded before a different version was released first on “The Gladhouse”. I liked the idea of the narrator being either a stalker or a lover. From the lovers’ side wondering if one thing changed would it have been him that love falls for. And the dark view is of a stalker asking the same question. The question of why me and why not me running simultaneously.
LYRICS:
Standing your ground but you know you never can win
Fooling yourself cause you know you already been
You and who’s army could ever keep you from this / At war in a kiss
What about love / It could have been somebody else
What of this love / If I was somebody else
Watching your breath as it floats, the words you keep in
The way lovers do was it me you pressed to your skin
And you say you don’t know, whatever could been
All of this love, yours to let in
Lovers by two’s they have broken one after one / On the tip of your tongue
What about love / It could have been somebody else
What if I lied / It could have been somebody else
Ever change / Or stay the same / But you know you won’t
Never / Loved one / Never / Break
Nothing could ever always keep you so safe
Oh, a day like this (CHORUS) (FIN)
